I like to listen to Alice in Chains
when it rains,
and watch the water run sideways
across my window.
Really down in a fucking hole.
Stuck thinking about
a million different things
that I can’t control or change.
Makes me feel insane,
or at least slightly unstable,
even though I know that eventually
the tables will turn.
Or not.
I can’t be sure.
And I’m really down in a fucking hole.

Lou Rasmus is an independent author from Chicago, IL. His works are largely focused on exploring the meaning of life – or lack thereof – while the themes of love, relationships, and self-loathing are also central to many of his stories. His upcoming novel, Primrose Isle, will be his third self-published title. Grapefruit Juice, a collection of bitter poems and short stories, and DEAD RED FISH, his semi-autobiographical debut novel about a young man coming to age on a road trip with his childhood friends, are also available on Amazon.

  1. Like the good Lord says…
All things are possible through Alice in Chains.

Here’s something brand new from AIC from a couple weeks ago.
If this doesn’t cheer you up… you probably need a monkey. πŸ™‚
