Profound

The idea of
creating something new
is kind of daunting,
and it haunts me
to think about
all of the profound things
I didn’t say
because I was afraid
that you wouldn’t think
they were very profound
in the first place.
Maybe that’s why I write
about tits
and drinking
and getting high.
Maybe I’m just scared.

  3. Or, because when you climb the mountains of being profound, you will discover it really does come down to tits and drinking and getting high. And fucking. Lots of fucking. ‘Cause no matter how high you get, now how much money you get, that’s all rich and powerful and smart want at the end of the day anyway. Just more of it. More, and more, and more and more.

  17. The idea is to write how and what you think about… That’s what makes it unique. Sure it has vulgar language and a little off color, but it’s tasteful and it’s uniquely Lou. Your style. It also personally makes me look at things differently… Like the shit I think but never thought to say it out loud. 👍
