Bukowski had six cats,
but I think that one is probably
good enough for me.
One takes up
enough of my time.
One gives me
enough to write about.
And I don’t want to be like
Bukowski anyways.
He wouldn’t want to be like me.
Because good writing
isn’t about being
like anyone.
It’s about being you.
the fuck
that is.

  1. Instead of being themselves, people often try to be like someone they think is cool, but when we get too much of ourselves in others, it is the most annoying thing in the world.

  2. I’ve got 2 cats, 6 is too many lol.

i prefer cats because they have narcissistic tendencies and they’re independent.
