Rain is tap-tapping
Against the window pane,
And the keyboard is clack-clacking
Against the thoughts in my brain…
Tap-tap… clackity-clack-clack…
All god-damned fucking day.
Then the cat starts meowing,
And she scratches at my leg,
While the stereo blares something profane,
Like, “I’ll fuck a bitch in the face.”
…Man, I think, I need to get away.
